Biography

Markus Sixay (°1974, Langen, Germany), explores a wide variety of media. His multidisciplinary oeuvre consists of video pieces, installations, prints, sculptures, wall paintings and drawings. Irony and verbal-visual play are integral parts of his work. His work revolves around abstract structures and concepts from the fields of economics, philosophy and sociology and he often refers to art history. The everyday materials he uses to make these structures and concepts tangible, become the carrier for the meaning of the work.
