Jeppe Hein

Biography

Jeppe Hein (°1974, Copenhagen) analyses our relationship with art as viewers and creates witty and minimalist installations that intervene with both indoor and outdoor spaces, deliberately blurring the boundaries between art, architecture, and technical inventions. By setting up a dialogue between the work, the viewer and the environment, he invites the audience to contribute to the work’s completion. His aesthetics refer to minimalism and abstract conceptual art and he always uses an abstract experience to provoke the public into physically activating the work.
