Biography

Douglas Gordon (°1966, Glasgow) is a Scottish artist, who lives and works in Berlin. He won the Turner Prize in 1996, the Premio 2000 at the 47th Venice Biennale in 1997 and the Hugo Boss Prize in 1998.

Philippe Parreno (°1964, Oran, Algeria) is a French artist who lives and works in Paris.  He works with a variety of mediums including film, installation, performance and text. He analyses reality and its relation to memory and the imaginary. The artist prefers to define his exhibitions as ‘projects’, as they are often composed of various complex elements. Since the early ‘90s, he has been very successful and he has been exhibiting worldwide ever since.
