Bed

Rubell's other work mainly takes the form of interactive sculpture. The work she created for Kortrijk is an excellent example of this.  After spending time in the city, where she visited the local market and some historical buildings like the Flax and River Lys Museum, she decided to create a monumental, interactive bed, meant to be jumped on by 100 people at a time. This sculpture will be installed in front of the city hall and all passers-by are invited to take off their shoes and partake in this exciting experience, with the historic centre of Kortrijk as a backdrop. Fun is assured.
